IPEの想像力 3/31/2025
仙台の私の下宿に、電子レンジが届きました。文明に、また、一歩近づいた感じです。
昨日は、皿もコップもなかったので、シンクの横で立ったまま、オープンサンドイッチ（食パン、ロースハム、カット野菜、マヨネーズ）を作って食べました。
午後、2つの箱が届いて、衣類や、何冊か本を出しました。服をクローゼットに収め、本はデスクの上の棚に並べると、ぐっと文化的生活を実感したわけです。
今日はみやぎ生協で、電子レンジで温める中華弁当を買ってこよう、と思っていました。あいにく、中華丼や酢豚の弁当などはない。残念！ と思ってお店を歩いていると、いいものを見つけました。
電子レンジでチンするチャーハンです。これが、驚きました、とてもおいしかったのです。「世界で一番売れている」 ・・・本当に？
しかも、23年前に発売されていた。え・・・本当に？
冷凍食品というのは、いつからこれほどの巨大産業になったのか。おそらく多分野で技術革新を遂げた結果なのでしょう。
生産工場は千葉県や福岡県にあるそうです（冷凍食品の多くは、かつて中国だったと思いますが）。その原材料は、米：北海道（限定）、鶏卵：日本他、豚肉：メキシコ他、ねぎ：中国他、しょうが：日本、中国他、と表示されています。

グローバリゼーションは、貨幣価値も含めて、国際的なコスト削減を強制する、一種の、国際金本位制でした。その結果、生産者と消費者との関係を大きく分離し、複雑で、不透明な、各地の政治とは切り離された世界分業（グローバル・サプライ・チェーン）、金融ビジネスやグローバル企業の指示する、変転し続けながら支配するピラミッド構造に入るしかない、という宿命を私たちに強制しました。
しかし、私は思うのです。近代の市場が誕生するのは、身分制から市民社会が現れたからです。世界市場や世界商品は、世界市民の社会関係を築くからこそ、人々の暮らしを豊かにするのではないでしょうか。私は、そう学びました。
それは、今、AIの開発競争について注意（警告）されていることです。
NYTのオピニオンで、作文を教える教師が、AIを使って課題を提出する学生たちに、文章を書くことはもっと違う、人生について、内面を掘り下げ、意識することだ、と教えています。
次々に、高度なホワイトカラーたちにも、多くの仕事がAIによって支援され、変容を強いられていくでしょう。

信号待ちの間、近くの中華料理店で観ていると、単品でも1200円、1500円・・・
退職して、年金を除くと、短期のバイトなどが主要な収入源となれば、時給1000円の生活です。そういう人も多いと思います。
冷凍チャーハンは328円でした。しかも、一袋で2人前です。
制御されたロボット・アームが見事なチャーハンを作り、それを優れた冷凍技術によって、電子レンジで再現する社会で、炎に向かう料理人たちの中華料理店は生き残れないかもしれません。
