では、時代の狂気とは何か？ 政治的センスとは何か？

トランプの関税表に意味を与える試みは、グローバリゼーションへの反動であり、どうやら生成AIに質問して作文したらしい、という話に繋がりました。彼は1980年代のアメリカが貿易赤字と脱工業化（そして、日本からの自動車！）に憤慨した経験をわすれない。不動産取引の成功や、テレビショーの司会者の視点も忘れない。
アメリカの貿易赤字は敗北と屈従を意味し、あるいは、黒字国の市場操作や卑劣な介入に騙された、搾取された、と理解する。そんなバカな、というだけでは十分に正しくない。破棄された工場群、旧製造業に頼った地域コミュニティー、労働者たちの尊厳や夢を奪ったこと（最初の就任演説）を、なぜ中央の政治家やエコノミストは無視し続けたのか。

小平市子ども選挙のニュースを観て、ラジオ放送も聴きました。
まず、絵本「どうぶつせんきょ」を読み、選挙の意味を学び、次に、小平市長選挙の実際の候補者たち（3人）にする質問を考え、それに答える候補者たちの動画の撮影をして、最後に、この情報を基に子どもたちが投票をしました（476人）。
森の動物たちは横暴なライオンに代えて新しい代表を選挙で選ぶことにしました。子どもたちが意見を言える、その意見が候補者たちに届く。しかし、投票数は期待したほど増えませんでした。
時代の求める社会の構造変化を反映した制度改革が必要です。富の分配様式は、政治的に問い続けられ、正当な介入と再分配、市場の安定的な調整を促す規制が重要です。民主主義の容器として、ふさわしい政治的な意志を示すことのできるガバナンスの姿を、世界の民主的闘いから、そして、子どもたちから学んで、発見しなければなりません。投票した子どもたちの中から、未来の指導者が現れてほしいです。
